I have been involved in several different projects since I started working as a musician in 1998 or so. It would be too much to mention all of them, so here is a list of main projects I am working with now. 

Huntsville — a trio with my good friends Tonny Kluften and Ingar Zach that (according to a journalist in Boston Weekly) is «armed with a banjo, a double bass, a pedal steel, a bizarre tabla machine, shruti boxes and a fondness for freeing folk from its folk songs — from Santa Fe to Bombay.»
Huntsville released "for the middle class" on Norwegian label Rune Grammofon in 2006 and did a double tour of Norway with the Dutch post punk group The Ex in spring 2007. In July 2007 we played Kongsberg Jazz Festival with Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche from Wilco as guests, and we are touring and playing other festival throughout the year. In September 2008 we released the the double CD "eco, arches & eras" on Rune Grammofon. Sidsel Endresen, Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche are guests with Huntsville on this release. With Huntsville I play electric and acoustic guitars, banjo, pedal steel guitar, radios, a little bit of sruti etc etc. I also edited the debut CD and produced it together with Tonny and Ingar. Dans les arbres — a quartet with pianist Christian Wallumrød, clarinetist Xavier Charles, percussionist Ingar Zach and myself. «Theirs is a music of small revelations rather than larger gestures, with arresting sound combinations constantly emerging. Occasionally, with sruti box and clarinet establishing thick drones, it sounds more like Eastern ritual music than Western improvised music. In other moments this strictly acoustic music sounds remarkably electronic.» (ECM). We released the CD "Dans les arbres" on ECM April 2008. New album expected early 2011. Read more here. Hanne Hukkelberg — I started off as a substiute in her band - playing electric guitar, pedal steel guitar, keyboards, some accordion and background vocals. I appear on her latest release Blood From A Stone and is part of her band. Check out her music here     

Solo — the last couple of years I have been doing some solo performances playing stripped down material from a solo release that I hope to release sometime in future. 

Over the years I have had the pleasure to perform regularly and not regularly with great musicians like: Yumiko Tanaka, Tony Oxley, Axel Dörner, Andrea Neuman, Pat Thomas, Paul Lovens, Derek Bailey, Bjørnar Andresen, Steve Noble, Håkon Kornstad, Thomas Lehn, Jaap Blonk, Phil Minton, Raymond Strid, Steve Beresford, Jon Christensen, Michel Doneda, Diego Chamy, Leonel Kaplan, Alessandra Rombolá, Shinichi Isohata, Michel Henritzi, Uchihashi Kazuhisa, Tetuzi Akiyama, Per Oddvar Johansen, Ingebrigt Flaten, Paal Nilssen-Love and many more.
